FLVRecorder

Whenever you are watching an online video or listening to an online song, you may be thinking about saving the video or song locally, so you can play it anytime, anywhere. Unfortunately, this feature is not supported by most online video and audio services and you need to install an additional application in your computer to be able to capture online videos and songs.

You could do this through FLVRecorder. This Windows program can automatically capture any playing video or song using the HTTP and RTMP protocols. Virtually, the application supports any online video and any online video service. After the program is installed, it will also require the installation of WinPcap, which is used for capturing online streams. After both these programs are installed, the user will just need to play his desired video or song in Internet Explorer and in a few seconds, the video will be automatically captured and displayed in the program's interface.

At this point, one is able to save the video as a regular FLV file. There is no conversion involved, as the resulting FLV file maintains the original quality of the video or song. After the FLV file has been created, the user is able to play it directly in the program's interface. That's because FLVRecorder is also a FLV player. You are also able to create playlists with all captured FLV files.
